bestiary

Medieval bestiaries often contained descriptions and images of creatures that we now know to be either misconceptions or otherwise complete mythical fabrications. These works combines imagery from bestiaries, alchemical texts, and other manuscripts with the bodies of queer men to create fantastical beasts.

My body is a vessel of meaning and possibility. In many ways, I am a monster of my own creation. Paper works reclaiming cotton clothing into pulp were created during a residency at the Morgan Conservatory.
